Highthorn is an old stone farmhouse. It is luxury, finished and completely self contained (revamped in year 2000). It very comfortably sleeps 11 people, in 5 bedrooms. There are 2 double beds and 7 single beds. The house is fully serviced, so you don't have to wash-up or clean during your holiday.

is situated in the foothills of the Central
Drakensberg between Estcourt and Giants Castle. Highthorn is a refurbished
self catering farm home that is steeped in history and nestles in a pleasant
garden with a simply magnificent view overlooking Giants Castle to Van
Reenen.
Room facilities: Hair dryers, fans, fireplaces, one heater, international convertible plug, radio and Hi Fi, tea and coffee for one day. A maid is on duty during the day. There are cell coms in the house. Toiletries include toilet paper, soap, shampoo. Iron and board provided. Linen and towels provided. Services at Highthorn: Children are welcome, a cot is available. Wood is supplied. Activities available: A lovely sauna is available out back, there are at least 10 family games, walks, own mountain bikes can be brought, Trout fishing( own rods), no hunting, bird -watching, geology. Fabulous picnic spots. Horse riding 15 minutes away. Directions to Highthorn: From the N3 take the Mooi River fly off and make your way into town. Follow the signs to Giants Castle. As you exit the town zero your odometer. After approx 20kms you will see a pink " Yogi" Sip sign on your right. Turn right here onto a dirt road. After about 1 km the road will fork, take the road to the left. After about 1km look out for a sign on the left hand side that says " Highthorn" Turn left into the driveway. |

New tiles have been laid in the entertainment areas and new carpets in the
bedrooms. It is comfortably furnished. The five rooms have been elegantly
decorated and the overall effect is one of a sunny pleasant ambiance. The three
newly converted bathrooms cater for large groups. The kitchen is pristine clean,
new and fully equipped. A jet master is strategically placed in the lounge and
wood in abundance will be provided. The pampering sauna in these beautiful
surroundings completes the picture.
