Valemount Country Lodge situated near Underberg in the Southern Drakensberg is a peaceful country breakaway, a very special place! Valemount nestles in the serene surroundings of Underberg, which overlooks the Umzimkhulu valley of the Southern Drakensberg, a world heritage site. The Lodge is two hours drive from Durban and six hours from Johannesburg, access directly form the R617 to Kokstad.

The luxurious suites are a popular retreat for honeymooners and couples alike. Each suite has a kingsize bed, jet master fireplaces and romantic Victorian bathrooms. Sumptuous breakfasts are served in the dining room daily and three course dinners are catered for by prior arrangement.

Country Lodge is set in beautiful gardens which blend into 48 ha of natural
riverine bush an woodland. Guests can enjoy leisurely walks on the property,
ramble up the trails or relax under the shade of our old gracious trees
surrounding the Lodge.
The
Country Lodge sleeps sixteen guests in four comfortable bed and breakfast rooms
and four luxurious suites. A limited number of up-market self-catering
accommodation is available for groups of two to four guests. The Valemount
self-catering accommodation is serviced daily and linen and towels are provided.
